Soft games and American players?

Hi,
I am soon to be moving my cash out of Eurobet (which I wouldnt recommend) and looking for a new site. Primarily I want a soft site with lots of fishies. Having looked around the forums, I have some idea of what people are suggesting, but I have a question?
Before US legislation changed, most felt, in the UK at least, that the softest games were to be found where Americans played, especially party poker. Now it seems, the sites with big US traffic have reputations as the tough sites? Does anyone agree/disagree with this. I have always fancied playing at pokerstars due to traffic but seeing as there is no decent bonus, rakeback, and a tough reputation Im not too sure. At the moment my choice is between bodog (soft rep, decent software, and decent traffic) and pacific (awful software seemingly but super soft). Anyone have suggestions?

Agree. Sites that allow American players are much tougher than those that don't. The reason for this is that most solid American players (i.e. not the casual fish) actually moved to another site that DID allow Americans once the UIGEA was passed. Many "casual fish" don't even know that there ARE other sites.

Stick with non-American sites.

I have heard party has tightened up a lot since the americans have left.

I always found the Prima sites soft especially in the afternoon when the Europeans returned home from the pubs.

Maybe, but not to the extent that sites that do allow Americans have.

I wouldn't know how it plays higher, but at micro and smallstakes NLHE there isn't really anything between Party and FTP other than FTP has better SW and above board RB. The PLO tables at Party are still much softer but there's no 6-max and traffic is low.

Everest is probably a lot closer to how most Americans still seem to think Party is.

Wait, so from what I'm gathering, there was a stereotype about Americans, and this stereotype turned out to be untrue when put to the test?

I can't believe it!
