Hand for Hand play?

Have a little time to kill so....

Does anyone who hosts home tourneys actually do this? What procedures do you use?

No, you need a serious tournament for this to be the case... if the buyin is 100 or more I'd do it, but that also means you have to have multiple tables. The bubble is usually when it starts, not when two tables are shorthanded... so if you're paying 12 spots you'd have 120 people in this tournament, we're certainly getting outside the realm of "home poker"

Hand-for-hand play can be used when you are about to break up a table (when you're in the money) as well.

Yes, if the top 12 get paid, and you're down to 13, tables should play hand-for-hand until you've got 12.

If you're now down to 10 and are going to go to a 9-man final table, you can have your tables play hand-for-hand so no one table gets hit with the blinds more than the other.
