Less than CTS or Sbrugby have lost in a single hand!

Depends if you count money I've won through poker then gone on to lose, or only money which came from outside poker.

For instance since January I've lost -$2k on four seperate occasions - a lot for someone with no bankroll who's playing on weekly wages. But thinking about it, three of these times came directly after +$2k sessions, so although at the time they felt devastating, I was just handing back winnings. Only one time was I losing $2k I'd had to sit in an office to earn.

I've been playing poker 2 1/2 years. I'd guess the total I'm down is about $30k of earned income. Really a random figure, though. Just hard to come up with an exact number.

I suppose it's easier to say "How long have you been broke because of your gambling?" or "Do you have no money to spare for things like holidays, nice clothes, etc, because all your money goes on poker?" to which I'd have to say yes.

Actually I haven't played in 3 weeks and have no plan to again any time soon... want to try saving up some money, but it is difficult to get used to just having your paycheque, not having the uncertainty of the possibility of a massive win or loss. Kind of boring for now - but then in the long term, having money is less boring than being broke.

I can play great for periods of time, individual sessions. But I find so poker so addictive I literally can't stop playing if I have money in my account, I won't go to sleep. So I either bust, or short-term I can create a win by cashing everything out. Because when I'm still playing at 10am I sure as hell won't be playing as well as I was 12 hours earlier when I started. I also have no bankroll managment- if I have $600 in my account, that means I'll wane to play (at best) $1/$2, if not $3/$6. And since I only play PLO which is very high variance, disaster is inevitable - when your flushes don't come and their sets hold up, but their flushes always come and your sets get beat, etc.

Oh, also I will play when I'm tired, drunk, on super-tilt etc too.

Plus, Full Tilt is rigged against me FOREEAL.

Best I take a break - I need to try to get some discipline in ANY area of my life since currently I don't have any discipline at all over anything. Cutting poker out is a start. Now if only I could tackle my 2+2 and railbirding while surfing for porno addictions...

It's sick how accurate these statements are about MY life. That means I'm an addict no? Btw, thank GOD they got rid of instant payment options at poker sites. That has saved me thousands for sure.

I'm in England, so I had to get my bank cards cancelled. Kind of a pain having to go into a branch whenever I need money, but at least it stops me from putting all my money online at 12.05am every payday...
