Advice on the restaurants at the Venetian
 

I'm taking my wife to the Venetian for her B-day. We're only going for 36 hours, have to get back to the kids. So we don't want to waste time leaving the hotel. Which of their restaurants do you recommend and why?

Yes, I read the sticky on restaurants, but it's a year old and I'm looking for very specific recs.

My wife looked at the V's website and asked that I make recs for dinner at B&B Ristorante, lunch at Pinot Brasserie, and BF at Bouchon.

Will this work or something else?

Top notch coffee shop......more like a mini-gourmet cafe.

If youre looking for a casual atmosphere and good food, the Grand Lux Cafe was awesome. Took the gf there and we both loved it. Great menu all around and a relaxed dress code. I would highly recommend it.

Given that it's my wife's b-day I'm thinking of going for one of the "fancier" places. My wife's a pretty good cook herself, so she's kind of a foodie snob. Also, she's not so keen on the steak.

Hate to sound so particular, but my wife is, and that's why I posted this. However, the Grand Lux sounds like it might be the place to go for lunch when we get to the hotel.

Every restaurant at the Venetian has been very good in my experience. Caneletto happens to be one of my favorite places in LV (sit 'outside' and enjoy the free entertainment), and they have desserts that should be illegal, but I don't think you can go wrong with any choice.

Please post your impressions of B&B when you get back. I'll be trying it on my next trip.

buchon was pretty damn good for a reasonable amount of $, irc. course i didn't pay, which made it all the better.

As far as casual dining goes, I ate at The Grill at Valentino last month and it was excellent in every regard.
