$2/$4 deepstacked in 3 bet pot with 88 3 handed

3 handed game. I have $830, villain covers. He 3 bets me a lot, and I do to him as well. He is a good player.

I get 88 on the button and raise it, he 3 bets me from the sb, I call. HU to the flop:

23Q rainbow

He bets $75, I call.

Turn is 2.

He bets $175.

He's definitely capable of double barreling, but he definitely doesn't double barrel a ton vs. me, and the 2 wasn't a great card to do it. In a spot like this I feel like calling him on turn is bad, but I feel like folding is bad too.

in general, what's your thought process/plan with hands like this in these spots against good players?

I think I like fold > raise >call

depedning if he is folding AQ+ to you for 200bbs or not. But I hate tocall and show down vs TT here

Raise flop? If he goes over the top, you can easily fold. If he's Cbetting missed high cards, you keep him from hitting his 6-outer. He might even fold better hands like TT. You also avoid not knowing where you stand if you just call and any T or higher hits the turn. A raise will probably let you see a free river, and maybe even a free showdown.

I'd fold turn just because this is such a [censored] card to bluff and the board does not change at all. In his mind, I'd say this is for value becuase if you would call the flop, why not the turn? So yea, good time to just fold.

Any pair is calling the flop, second barrels on boards of this texture should be fairly standard. I don't mind calling the turn sometimes and probably folding on the river since air should be giving up a lot here and he won't be taking that line with JJ or below.

ive been going back and forth on this one, but I think u should call here and fold to a river shove, and obv check it down if he lets you. Villain proly puts you on a medium pair lik 77-1010, and is using the fact that you both are very deep as his advantage. basically you are way ahead of hs range, and he probably doesnt bluff 3 barrels.

terrible. you should raise to $32Q.3Q, to subliminally embed that you have the nuts in your opponent's mind.

Or type "hey scott i have 33 I hope he has AA" on the flop then

As played you can fold or shove. If he has been beating you down fwiw this is prob a bluff less.
