You might be the worst pole-maker on the internets. Still voted though.

OK number 2 might be bad, but what's so bad about the rest?

May not be as silly of a poll as you might first think given the rumblings in Congress from some Democrats (Kucinich & Boxer) about reinstituting the fairness doctrine. Why couldn't the fairness doctrine be extended to the internet? It seems fairly clear that the lack of information "gate keepers" is a burr in the saddle of both Republicans (witness Trent Lott comments recently about doing something about talk radio) and Democrats. It's equally as clear to me anyway that the internet is having a huge effect on politics in the USA and not in a way that the politicians always like. It's a great way to raise money apparently but it's also a great way to get alot of information and analysis on what politicians are doing. In other words politicians are receiving a lot more scrutiny. It seems obvious to me that politicians would try to make laws to encourage the things they support and help them like raising money and discourage the things they don't like such as increased scrutiny.

actually i believe this is one of the best polls of Nielsio.

the question is served in time - i wonder how many of you believe internet will stay the way it is now (unregulated) in the future?

all governments want some control and they can get it in all the other serious media, but unregulated internet is a pain for them. many times internet is the only good source of information. i'd bet many governments will try to get some control over it soon. actually it started with vista-FBI companionship already - for safety reasons of course.

Could one of the four people who answered answer B on TWO elaborate on this?
