I'll probably get told this is grossly wrong but I think you can call for set value here.

If he's been 3-betting wide from the blinds you should probably fold.

In position you're likely to get paid off if you spike a set, and if his 3bet range is wide including AK, AQ then you may be good postflop when he misses. You have just enough behind to make set mining even money. Prob fold OOP.

if we believe he's 3betting light, why would we fold a pp in position?

You can't call and play for set value then since he is less likely to pay you off with a wider range. OP's question was if he was getting enough implied odds to call the 3-bet; probably not. If you want to float/play poker after the flop - go ahead.

that was my point (and wslee's): if he's 3betting light we aren't calling solely for set value.

damn if he's 3-betting light, i might just 4-bet his ass.

Yea I like a 4-bet too if you are certain he is 3-betting on the light side. It's pretty much un-exploitable unless he starts 5-bet shoving light. Not to mention you are frequently going to see a flop with 2 or 3 overcards and be relatively lost after the flop.
