This is a fold, right?

This is a reversed hand. I was actually villain in this hand, and hero is someone at my table who looks like a thinking player/2+2er or at least he has half a brain judging from his stats only.

Hero and villain have no history. Villain (me) has been pretty active, but you can see that from his stats. If you happen to know something about me from my posts or something, don't consider this, only the info I put in OP here.

Full Tilt Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.25/$0.50 Blinds - 5 Players - (LegoPoker HH Converter)

SB: $17.40
BB: $61.40
Hero (UTG): $49.75 ----- 19/15/3.5 over 103
CO: $63.35
BTN: $50.50 ----- 31/17.2/2 over 103

Preflop: Hero is dealt 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (5 Players)
Hero raises to $1.75, CO folds, BTN calls $1.75, SB folds, BB calls $1.25

Flop: ($5.50) T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 Players)
BB checks, Hero bets $5.40, BTN raises to $14.00

Should Hero simply fold here?

What range do you give villain?

uh, yes?

villain (you) have sets, overpairs, overcards, fds and sds. In other words, T9 aint so great here unless you want to shove it and thats a ballsy move indeed that I may do with some nice history. but this is a pretty easy fold until i know what you are up to.

shoving here is either very very bad play, or exceptionally good play, if you see what i mean.

ez fold, could be a set, flush draw, straight draw, combo, overs, maybe even 2pair T8

This might be material for a new post altogether, but wouldn't it be better to bet a bit less on the flop, say around $3.5-4

I had observed the guy in a couple of hands, and he semt like a pretty decent postflop player. Just a feeling I got about him, clearly he was good.

So he shoved here, I put him on at least an overpair. I called with 22, and seeing his hand really surprised me.

Yeah I don't like heros full pot size on the flop, and I also dump T9s UTG.

Button is on a wide range - can't give him credit for overpairs because of preflop, have him on sc (possible combo draw) small pp looking for info.

I'm raising his raise up. Getting it in if needs be, I'm ahead more than I'm behind here.
