just wanted to introduce myself - i've been a poster in sttf for a while but after hitting a cold streak decided to try playing 2-7. before i jumped into a game i read daniel negreanu's chapter in super system 2, and it has been monumental in my 2-7 TD strat and success. i find a lot of the information that i've learned carries from 1/2 up to 15/30 (i went nuts tonight and practically did a busto or robusto challenge). Anyway, i hope my input can be helpful and i'm lookin forward to sharing hands and ideas with you all about 2-7, and maybe i'll learn something about the other games in this forum, as well.

Welcome.

I gave up playing 2-7, my feeling being that there were not enough fish and the variance was way to high.

That is just me though. You have fun.

Is it true that you can't make money playing 7-2 triple draw? Some people say that it is not so much a game of skill so in the long run, you can't make money.

I would not say that is a case of not being able to make money online playing TDL but a case of more money to be made in an easier fashion playing other games...

2-7 is more about reads than the more popular games imo. So, if you want to 12 table, play nlhe. If you want to learn a new game. 2-7 is pretty cool.
I've found that there's money to be made every time a website adds a new game due to the fish who are just trying it out. I made $100 an hour 4 tabling 2/4 horse on weekends the first month Stars introduced it and $50/hr 2 tabling 2-7 2/4. I probably owe several thousand $ to Barry G for teaching me the importance of game selection.
