Stuart Fox folds his way to $450k

FT line up for WSOP Event #22 ($5,000 No-Limit Hold'em)

Seat 1 - William McMahon - 524,000
Seat 2 - Tex Barch - 709,000
Seat 3 - Michael Binger - 240,000
Seat 4 - Jan Sorensen - 349,000
Seat 5 - Stuart Fox - 718,000
Seat 6 - Maciek 'Michael' Gracz - 534,000
Seat 7 - Karga Holt - 1,211,000
Seat 8 - James Mackey - 1,074,000
Seat 9 - Nick Schulman - 1,045,000

And the prize money they are playing for:
1st - $730,740
2nd - $448,892
3rd - $295,245
4th - $194,319
5th - $140,091
6th - $108,457
7th - $81,343
8th - $60,254
9th - $43,684

The entire length of the final table (~3 hours) Stuart Fox successfully folded every single hand except one. The one hand he did play he saw a flop with AJ.

Sure, he secured himself a [censored] of money but he really doesn't have a shot at the bracelet now. Its pretty hilarious that this guy blew an amazing opportunity and just decided to fold every hand. Whatever floats you boat I guess, some will probably agree with his play because he made more $$$. Apparently he has been playing poker for 7 years and has been playing the WSOP for 3 years. Yeah, I know some will say this is definitly a great strategy but still ...

Anyways, heres the live video of the FT (Fox HU w/ Mackey)

If he indeed finished 2nd then that's [censored] awesome. Who the [censored] cares about a bracelet? It doesn't mean anything. Didn't we read a couple days ago about some dumb [censored] who won a bracelet by rivering everyone every hand?

Yeah but I am not only talking about the bracelet. He could have possibly played some hands and gained some chips. Then maybe he would be CL and win even more money 730k. I am really not just focusing on the bracelt. I agree that it is pretty sweet that he was able to fold all the way to second. Low variance FTW

I was wondering if it was him, he looks just like the picture of the kid at PCA that the pokerdb had up. Thought so, pretty sick, congrats

My guess is this was his plan from the beginning. He figured he probably couldn't truly compete (I have no idea who the guy is) and thought the best bet was to just fold away and let everyone else attack each other, busting people in order to try to gain position. Only they forgot about the guy just sitting there.
