A question about sunglasses (fashion help)

Hi OOT.

I am wondering for those more fashionably inclined than myself what sort of sunglasses I purchase. I have never been the type to wear sunglasses, but I recently moved someplace where wearing sunglasses is the normal thing to do. For personal reasons I have to fit in to this environment. However I have been informed by several mall salespeople and one gas station attendant that my taste in sunglasses is generally unacceptable.

For background, I should say that I am a fit mid-20s male, average height and weight. The look that I am trying to come up with is not exceedingly flashy, but not noticeably unnoticeable, if you know what I mean. I will post some pictures of approximately the look I am going for. I just want to know what sort of sunglasses I should definitely go for, and which ones I should decidedly avoid.

The look I am attempting to accomplish is somewhere in between these two domains:

and

I have always been a fan of aviators. I feel that they are the quintessentially cool shades and that anyone who feels otherwise must be a fool or a madman.

Here are the 3 styles of sunglasses I have narrowed my selection down to. I will call them style 1, style 2 and style 3. Please vote accordingly, post advice or generally inform me as to how I may better go about assimilating myself into the hip, sunglasses-wearing generation.

Style 1:

Don't follow me, you won't be able to find me. I will deliberately wear different sunglasses from the ones suggested here, just to throw you off in your attempts to capture me. The documents will be safe.</font>

your face shape makes a big difference. go with a girl or go to a sunglass store (or nordstrom's or wherever you're buying ssunglasses) and ask the pretty girl there for help.

fwiw the only one that even has a chance of looking good, normal, and current on a 18-29 yo male is number 1.

I didn't read your post because it was way too long. Just buy something that you can lose or sit on and it won't be a big deal.

Disclaimer: I don't wear sunglasses.

I have Ray-Ban Wayfarers, http://www.eyesave.com/images/produc...lastic.343.jpg but everyone's getting them now and ruining the originality

I'm also looking for a pair of sunglasses that are as far from style 1 and style 2 as possible. Don't mind style 3's though.

These are the pair I picked up for the summer, and they're kind of a combination of all three styles.

Wayfarers don't have any originality to ruin; they've always been enormously popular.

Secondly, James Bond wore Persols (at least in Casino Royale) and aviators look good on anyone (though they are generally starting to fade out of style).

Finally, is anyone in this thread paying attention to the specs of the OP?
