How do you manage to bet $4 on the river in a 1/2 LHE game?

If this indeed is pot limit, then there's even more wrong with it than not betting the turn.

eh, I don't play pot limit but this is pretty ugly.

raise preflop, bet more on flop or at least bet the turn as played.

Are you trying to win as little as possible?
