Filmie Question of the Week: Great Watery Movies

So films on water and/or with boats please.

Pictures, quotes, sound or video clips.

It can include movies with a great water-based scene/section too.

I'll post mine later.

Trust me I've thought about this, there's some terrific movies here.

As an ex-Navy man I am partial to naval war movies. Just off of the top of my head 2 of the better ones would be Mister Roberts and The Caine Mutiny. Both had superb casts and performances and predominantly took place on warships. Next on my WWII list would be The Enemy Below.

Other watery fare isn't popping into my head? Jaws I thought was terrific. I thought Waterworld was fine entertainment and severely under rated. I thought Titanic was pure dreck. And I like sophormoric surfing movies a lot

Alright, I'm going to have to think about this. I was going to post a nice picture from Survival Island but turns out those are all too steamy for the lounge. Lol, not such a good plan to google Kelly Brook while at work.

Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter and Spring

A beautiful Korean movie that centers around a temple floating on a lake.

Yecch to "filmie." Possibly the gayest word ever.

I loved 20,000 Leagues under the Sea.

I like anything underwater almost. That setting takes up a space for me somewhere between the fantastical, intensely atmospheric, colorful imagination of horror films and the sheer awe of outer space, blending both together in an interesting way that potentially, for me anyway, has a greater impact than either alone.

"filmie" is the gayest word ever?

For me it's "dunno" or "i'unno". Those are at the top of my list for words that i really hate to see on this forum.

I suppose "nazie" could give it a run.

Yeah! This word has a lot more negative conotations than positive as far as I'm concerned.

It seems to have entirely negative connotations, to me.
