river play

this is a 1/2 game on poker room, people are generally bad but not overly passive at this table. button in particular is a special kind of moron of the laggy variety - very bad.

six handed, utg and utg+1 limp, fold, button limps, hero completes sb with J9o, bb checks.

flop 5sb five ways:
T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
hero checks, bb checks, utg bets, button calls, hero calls, bb folds.

turn we got 4 big'uns:
5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
hero checks, utg bets, button calls, hero calls

river 7bbs:
9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
????

It seems to me like the most likely scenarios in no particular order are a) we bet and stuff happens b) checks through c) utg bets, button calls, and we're faced with overcalling (it's basically impossible for a laggy moron to miss this board, right?) and d) utg checks and moron bets. I don't specifically remember a read on utg.

I think more good things can happen when you check: a T might get scared & check saving you a bet, a club draw can't call a bet, etc. Maybe you miss a bet from 8x sometimes but I don't think scenerio c is even that bad cause the moron will call with tons of stuff we beat and obv. you'd call in scenerio d.

Re: river play

Checkfold is UTG bets again. Checkraise if UTG checks and Button bets. Callcry if Button 3-bets.

I don't like a bet the 9 completes a lot of draws and 2pair hands.

check and assess. I would call 1 but not overcall. though if UTG bets again we're probably dead.
