Play my boss HU for Paychecks?
 

So I'm at work today and browsing 2+2 when my boss comes in my office. Before I can make an excuse as to why Im not doing work he say's

"So your trying to improve your game?"
ME-"haha yes sir something like that"
Him-"Good you need to!"

Now Ive played poker with this man about 5 times at his house. 200NL and everyone plays EVERY hand. Literally. If I have aces I raise to 25$ and EVERYONE calls. That kind of game. Which can be frustrating to play, so overall Im probably a slight winner (note while playing everyone gets completely trashed"

So basically I end up saying that he is a huge fish (very politely of course) And Im a million times better than he will ever be.

He challenges me to a HU SNG for our paychecks. Now I make around 1500 a week. Im pretty sure he makes 4 or 5 times that. I tell him I will think about it.I dont have a whole lot of HU experience especially for this much.

No obviously this is hugely +EV for me. I have a huge edge and without some total disaster Im sure I will dominate. However If I do lose three things will happen.

1)I will be on serious life tilt and may possibly berate my boss

2) He will gloat at work which will be really annoying

3) Although I wouldnt be hurt bad financially this will be for WAY more (about 15X more) than Ive ever played for. And will set me back a little bit.

SO BBV What should I do?

but what if you win ?

1) your boss will be on serious life tilt and may possibly berate you
2) you will gloat at work which will be really annoying for him
3) Although your boss wont be hurt bad financially this will be for WAY more than he has ever played before. It will hardly set him back a bit

4) he will challenge you for higher stakes where he might respect your raises.

Play for the love of god. He's laying you 4 : 1 on a HU freezeout right? Play every week if possible. The chance of you being down after a month is very low.

but what if you refuse to play?

1) you will be on serious life tilt, afraid to play a donk HU, and may possibly cut yourself
2) he will gloat at work which will be really annoying for you
3) Although you wont be hurt bad financially this will be for WAY more than you have ever won before. It would set you forward a fair bit.
4) He will challenge you for lower stakes where he might laugh at your raises, call with bottom pair, and suck out.

It's probably not a great idea career-wise. Either you get doomswitched and he wins and you feel like sh*t or you go robusto and he resents you.

Better to keep things calm at work, I think.
