Longest HU SNG ever?
I was going through my PT stats to see how long my HU matches were lasting. It looks like they average about 10 minutes. When I sorted them, I was reminded of the marathon match I won in December:
68 minutes 175 hands 35 hands of Level VI (100/200) 25 hands of Level VII (100/200/25) That is 42 minutes and 54 hands longer than the 2nd longest of the 158 matches in my database. I don't recall why it took so long in minutes. We were playing slow obviously. I remember being incredibly frustrated. The guy must have doubled through me 10 times. Anyway, I know it's sort of trivial but I thought it was interesting. Anyone got one close to that? |

no, I just had a 23 min. one and I thought I was dying.
feels great when you win tho |
Re: Longest HU SNG ever?
Longer than any of my 2000 matches.

Re: Longest HU SNG ever?
I played a 40ish minute $50 match a few months ago where I crippled him in the first hand down to like $200 (he was horrible) and we played the rest of the match with him never getting above $800 chips, except for the last two hands where he picked up aces and then kings ftw.

Once I accidentally saw a no blinds increase SnG that went on for over 80 minutes.

[/ QUOTE ] I used to play these, until I ran into a really weak-tight player who folded to like 90% of bets, but would occasionally pick up a really good hand against me to double up when I had a great hand, also. I seriously think the game went "Spend 15 minutes blinding opponent down to half original stack, lose set vs. nut straight hand, repeat" for about 2 hours (got to 2nd break) before we both got sick of it and chopped. Needless to say I don't play these anymore. |

I don't kno if I just got unlucky for that week or if everyone is as nitty at that level. But i played 7 matches winning 4, but each match lasted no shorter than 60 hands (with the match basically following the above post mold). Are they always this nitty at this level? |
Re: Longest HU SNG ever?
I've played a HU PlO8 20 at FT that lasted god knows how long but blinds were 150/300 by the time it ended.
then it's a crapshoot. You play for an hour and a half or however long it was and then it's decided by luck. At that point you have no choice but to raise the max once the blinds reach this level and you're on the button on these HU SNGs the blinds should stop at 50/100 |
