I'm a SnG donk trying to learn cash, and I'm really out to sea on this hand. Villain is 50/12 over 60 hands. I had no idea what to make of the min-raise, so I decided to c/c and c/r all in on a safe turn card. Is this right on this board, or am I way off? Comments on all streets welcome and appreciated!

I think you played it well

This line is fine although I would consider 3-betting the flop to be my standard play here

I'd fold this preflop, but as played, I don't like the turn. If you're looking to get it in on the turn, lead and call AI. I think we could easily see KJ here for a flopped straight, some sort of a combo draw, or a set. We basically are only solidly ahead of air, top pair, and lower two pair. I don't think I find a fold here. Tough spot, I think, created by raising QTs preflop.

IMO this is standard given effective stacks. Sorry you lost.

Re: NL50: Top 2 gets min-raised on coordinated board

Having 2 CCers is a horrible situation (if they play decent)

min raises are synonymous with sets, that's a known fact in the uNL community..

so I'm going to go ahead and say he set his 9s here..

FWIW though I think your line here is pristine even though you lost

edit: min-raises also = the nuts..he had KJ

This is very nitty/weak tight. If we're playing for stacks here c/rai is optimal and raising this preflop is standard

I think once he bets the turn, we can narrow his range (like getting rid of flush/straight draws and keeping made hands)

So, using this as his range on the turn, looks like you are about 47%, which is an easy c/r ai given pot size (i think).

He has KJ here at least 75% of the time in my experience

preflop: "I have an above average hand, not strong enough to 3bet"

The min raise + turn bet: "I have to raise it cause there's a fd, but please don't leave"

Thanks for all the helpful comments guys. Results: he had KJo. Does anyone ever c/f the turn if they don't fill up?
