Hero ?

MP had been very loose passive. I thought he could have total air (or a weak pair... which is basically total air here I suppose), but thought he could play a jack the same way.

If he is loose passive, it seems you beat more than you are losing to at this point AND he will pay you off. If he does have a jack, he will probably raise and since he is the passive type, you can safely fold.

Make sense?

That does make sense, and I appreciate the response.

I guess based on my read he won't bluff-raise a missed flush draw or weak pair often enough (for betting then folding to a raise to be bad) especially since I've shown strength on three streets?

Are players who are loose passive on early streets still passive once the river hits and they missed/know they're beat? I know some would be and some wouldn't, but in general? It's hard for me to get inside the head of a loose passive player... (I guess I need to read The Psychology of Poker.)

Thanks again.
