It\'s always Jacks in these coups

$150 on Party. No particular reads. 100-200 blinds, full table. EP pushes for 1100. MP pushes for about 4K. We're in the CO with 8K and Jacks. At least one player behind has us covered (can't remember exactly).

Do I need Queens to push here, or are Jacks good, or is it so close I might as well flip a coin ?

Well... EP could be pushing any two cards, and MP knows this. That means MPs range is wider than a normal reraise. I don't think it is wrong to call here, but I think you're flipping a lot, which doesn't have to be a bad thing. I fold TT, and call qith QQ pretty easy. I think I would've called here as well.

TimberBee--are you calling or pushing?

I agree that JJ is the borderline hand. If I have a read on MP that he might be strong, or I think this is a good table for building a big stack without gambling here, then I fold JJ in this spot.

I fold JJ and push QQ+ here. 8000 is a lot at 100/200 no ante, isn't it?

I push JJ here because people on Party are really bad, like MP could have as little as 66 bad

Heh, that's my dilemma. Both those statements are undeniably true. 10 minutes later I thought I should have folded but now I think it's right on the edge. People do make these plays [in MP's position] with small pairs sometimes. Anyway MP had QQ and I was cut in half.

whatever. losing 20BB with JJ PF is not a huge error if it is in fact an error.
