A6o - Ongame

I'll be posting some hands from my 200BB BR challenge project in separate threads to save any clutter.

Anyone know of a Hand Converter for Ongame?

Got nothing on these dudes but expect a typical loose online game.

1/2 5max - 4 handed

UTG posts blind ($1).

PRE-FLOP: Gib is BB with A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
UTG checks, OTB calls, SB completes, Gib checks.

FLOP Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
SB bets, Gib raises, UTG folds, OTB calls, SB calls.

TURN Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
SB bets, Gib calls, OTB folds.

RIVER 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
SB bets, Gib calls.

I cant work out if I like this one or not.

I'd raise preflop, usually. UTG has a worse than random hand, and SB's isn't much better. UTG will fold sometimes, and that's a huge overlay for you, gaining more dead money AND absolute position for the rest of the hand. Even if they don't, your hand figures to have an edge against their ranges.

Edit: Postflop, I'd just call on the flop. The pot is so small that your hand is already protected against UTG. It's worth trying to keep him in.

I thought about that but from what I've seen the average unknown here is generally awful, I was expecting them to call regardless of what the board is.

Edit: Actually now that I think of it as we have the nut BDFD maybe it's better to just call.

Oh, oops. I read that the button folded for some reason. Given that he's in, raising would be bad.

Assuming we're not raising the flop I guess we call down from the turn?

I was thinking raising the flop would be ok with 2 left to act. True the pot is small but the board is somewhat draw friendly.

As far as the call down, I see no big issues with this without a strong read on your opponent. The call down also allows you to see a showdown providing some valuable information on your opponent.

Ive seen both ways with bad players. Donk with a powerful hand and don't realize anyway other way to play it or bet out still thinking their weaker hand is good. So without any info on him the donk bet has limited information.

If he's drawing to a flush you're offering him 2.5:1 I think by raising at that point. I'd be cheering for a call after I raised. And he will, because he posted from UTG so he must be an ijit I like the raise.
