Re: Simple Question: Standart Iso?

i play a lot of turbos, and it is a VERY standard play IMO, but maybe i am too deep to do so in this situation?

There is alot of dead money out there and probably alot of hands worse than you. I guess worst case scenario is you get called by 66-JJ and are in a race.

I think you're too deep to be pushing. I would raise it to like 7-8K. Then be prepared to battle the flop out.

But alot of people around here seem to prefer pushing AK preflop. I just don't think it's appropriate with such a deepstack.

ok, here is what's bugging me about situations like this:

if i make it 6-9K Preflop, then i am FORCED to call any SHOVE by any of the smooth callers that after my reraise has decided to isolate the ALL IN guy and all the 'dead' money, and if i SHOVE all in does my hand look like AJ+ and 22-99? i might be over thinking or not thinking the right way (well, hence my 2p2 post to learn better)

I wouldn't worry about MP3 or SB calling any raise at all. Imo I think if MP3 or SB had big hands they would raise the initial allin atleast a little considering it was just over 2xbb raise and they wouldnt want weak hands sucking out on them. Depending on table action I would probably shove 80% of the time and raise to 6-8k 20% to see what UTG and the others do behind you.

ok so hypothetically speaking, we make it 7k from BB, UTG shoves for 7k more, we have an easy call? what if we still make it 7k its folded to SB that has us covered and he shoves? easy call (obv due to pot odds we will be getting)? im in dilemma cause i think this is a shove from our AK 100%, but then out hand looks like AK? in no way im putting down any of the responces, im just confused every time i look at this hand. maybe it would be easier to understand it if i wasn't the HERO and didn't know that i have AK, of that makes any sense at all

Re: Simple Question: Standart Iso?

You are getting your chips in here almost 100% of the time. However, sometimes I do like a raise to 7k because it looks like a huge hand and people will stay away or it looks like a steal/isolation play and so lesser hands will be more inclined to shove their stack. I think you are analyzing this too deep btw. Even if this shove looks like AK, how does it really effect any of the play? If people want to get their hand aipf it is going to happen.

thank you, this really makes sense to me. i over thought this hand and i agree that we are getting it in there 100% based on the PF actions
