How would most places rule on this?
 

I went to the Rainbow in Wendover the other day and this hand came up. 2-5 spread limit with a kill to 5/10, under the gun makes it 5 to go, MP calls 5 all in, one more caller, I call on the button with A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], blinds fold. Flop comes J 9 2 r, checked to me, I bet only UTG calls, turn blanks, I bet UTG folds. Dealer mucks the entire board (mixes it into the muck) and starts pushing me the pot. As soon as I realize what is going on I say "wait, isn't there an all in player?". Dealer calls floor.

If you still have your hand the floor can re-create the board and play out the hand. If necessary (your opponent wins the main pot) he can re-create the main pot and push it to him.

If you mucked your cards as a result of the dealer error probably the fair thing is to split the main pot. Shouldn't be a problem because it's so small.

i'm not sure what they would do but given the action I think you should win the side pot and because the all in player was all in preflop they should just shuffle the cards and redeal the board with you two HU.

Both I and the all-in player held onto our hands. I never saw the all-in players cards, so don't know if I was ahead or not.

The floor asked how much was in the main pot, when the dealer replied $23 he said to push the pot to me, went and got $23 and gave it to the all-in player. I thought this was nice, but figured most places would not do this, nor would this likely happen if there was alot of money in the main pot.

HA!!!! It had to be a small casino with a very small poker room. I gotta start playing there with some friends at the same table! No experienced floor would do this...ever. Think about what this does in terms of opening the door for collusion.

My guess is that, assuming you are still both holding your hole cards, most rooms would recreate the folp and play the hand out.

3. I doubt you could scam the floor/casino out of much.
4. It probably generated more 'goodwill value' than it cost.

I realize that in this particular case, it was no big deal. But I was making a point as to why you wouldn't see this happen in almost any other card room.
