I wanna lose 25lbs

hey ,
I dont know anything about fitness really. I want to lose about 25lbs , and im not sure what to even do. This week ive changed my diet a bit by cutting out soda and other sugar drinks which i would consume a TON of. I am also cutting out fast food, and the like.

Im looking for a work out plan that is good for cutting weight, im not concearned as much about lifting weights or anything, but if thats good for cutting weight, im all ears. your help is appreciated...

Read, don't post. There are a lot of people in the same boat as you that have started threads.

Read the book The Abs Diet. I've lost over twenty pounds since changing my eating habits just before Christmas.

Before buying The Abs Diet give it a quick read over. For me it wasnt all that practical a diet because of the food constraints. Learning how to just eat healthy offers a lot more diversity.

Diet is going to be the most important thing for you followed by working out

Use a good weight training circuit routine. They're perfect for losing fat, and although not ideal you'll build a little muscle too. Escalating Density Training (EDT) that mattinxtc asked about the other day also works well. Do that 3 times a week. On off days do Tabata.

EDT may not be the greatest starting program though. I have a feeling that most would be extremely sore/out of shape to jump straight into that kind of workout.

It's definitely a tough workout, but the intensity automatically adjusts as the beginner does fewer reps in the alloted time. The problem with EDT for beginners I think is that form tends to suffer when you're trying to get as many reps in as possible.

Beginners do more reps at a higher intensity.

Please explain what you're talking about, Thremp. I was referring to EDT where the primary variable is the number of reps you're able to accomplish in the allotted time. Obviously a beginner will not be able to do as many reps in the same time period as an experienced lifter whose work capacity is much greater.
