TPTK 3 handed in position 200BB

BB and I are 200bb deep. I didn't really feel like raising the flop here, seems like a good flop to mix in a call but I have no idea what to do here on the turn.

Pretty tough spot, Id have to assume BB is representing a K, so Im going to have to smooth call here to get a better sense of where Im at. Raising is also an option, but Idunno what your reads are. If I had anything that beat AK here, Im betting strong on the turn, much more than 15, there are way too many draws out there.

I think as difficult as it may seem raising the flop is the cheapest way to get good information, and it may get you a cheap showdown as well. You have to think your hand is good here on the flop until someone tells you otherwise. Make it 16 on the flop and take it from there.

As played I fold turn.

Oh yea, definatly raise the flop to define your hand better.

Well, If you want me to raise the flop for value, that's fine.

But don't tell me to raise "for information", or to "define my hand." I don't think those are profitable reasons to raise.

why not, they may have saved you some money here.

Re: TPTK 3 handed in position 200BB

Ofcourse it is.

he bet $4.50, if you raise $10 more on the flop and he reraises to protect his 2 pair or a set, you lose $15 dollars instead of the $5+ $15 u have to call on the flop and turn. On top of that, your opponent might decide to call the flop and bet the turn once there are so many draws out there and the pot is big enough. Aggression wins, and gets you more information, so sometimes spending more money on the flop may save you more on later streets. I hope my logic makes sense.

The turn raise (3-way, one player acting behind you, without reads) usually means my TPTK is beaten and i'm folding. I suspect a random set is out there.

I would reraise the turn against an aggro player HU.

I raise this flop. You want to get HU and you want to see how hard he connected with the flop. Calling gives you no idea what either one has, I don't really like it here.

I think raising this flop is the best way to go also. It gives you an idea of where you are and clarifies your hand with a single bet.

As played I'm folding the turn.
