I think you fold out the BB here a lot of the time, so the question is, is it +EV if you get it headsup against UTG. That's basically a math question, assign a range and calculate the odds you're getting.

I am thinking fold to UTG. I'd obviously push with AdAx, I'd push with KdKx, but I just don't think the queen cuts it.

BB can't have very strong a hand. He might have a flush draw though, so if we're playing the hand, the push is right because it destroys his odds.

I really don't think UTG shove is that scary.
If he's bad enough to min raise preflop, he's bad enough to shove here with a lot more then just hands that beat us.

I just don't like the fact that bb is still there,
but I still think the push is fine.

About the preflop play, I would usually reraise more against a min raise from a short stack, to make sure I isolate. I treat his min raise more like a raise (with crap usually) than like a limp - and I often get a call from the short stack. So I'd 3 bet to 12$ preflop.

Pretty standard to me.

You're definitely ahead of both of their ranges. I'd say that most of the time QQ alone is ahead, and if not, you should be able to count on your draw being live. You're probably dominated only 5% of the time or less, I would guess.

This is why I'm confused. UTG can easily have Adx/AA/KK/JJ/TT

but what is BB calling us with? JJ/A10/flush/TT (unlikely)?

best case scenerio is UTG has JJ and we push BB off the A of diamonds.
but i think thats wishful thinking.

I think we see a flopped flush, a bigger OP, or the A of diamonds a lot here from at least one of them

To make things easier, lets assume we folded out BB 100% of the time. We need to call 64.50 to win a 138.50 pot. We need 32% equity to break even on a call.

We have:

23% equity against 7d6d.

27% equity against Jd9d.

31.5% equity against 4d3d.

35% equity against flopped sets.

51% equity against AdTh.

51% equity against 2pair hands.

Even if villain shows up with a made flush we have enough equity to call. Unless you can be certain villain only does this with str8 flush draws and made flushes this is a call.
