Looking for NL cash game book

Hi,

I am looking for books to read to play Small Stakes NL cash games. I know Harrintons books are supposed to be good even though they are geared at tournaments, so my question is, do I go with harrinton or are there better books written for NL cash games.

(I am sure this question has been asked before - apologies in advance)

Thanks

Guy

Re: Looking for NL cash game book

I've got a similar question. I've played over 50k hands online and a bunch more in casinos for Limit but was looking to get into NL. I think a good book for OP would be "Getting Started in Hold Em". Would it be a good book for me? I already have SSH, HPFAP, TOP but no NL books including Getting started. I've got a bunch of Full Tilt points and was thinking about getting "NL Hold Em" by Sklansky and Miller and was thinking of getting "Getting Started" also. Any value in this or should I skip it and get an awesome FT T-shirt instead?

Re: Looking for NL cash game book

I think Little Green Book is a lot more helpful than NLHTAP, even though Phil Gordon's style is unimaginative, to say the least. NLHTAP is not one of the better 2+2 books, it has a lot of little tidbits with no narrative tying it together, and the authors' expertise in NL cash games is somewhat questionable.

NLHTAP is probably the best available right now.

Be patient and don't worry because Sunny Mehta, Matt Flynn, and Ed Miller will soon be here to save the day.
