Whats your setup?

What equipment are you playing? (And are you satisfied?)

I have Mizuno Sure irons
Cleveland Launcher Ti 460 driver, aldila NV65 S shaft
Cleveland QuadPro 3 & 5 wood
Custom made 7 wood
Cleveland RTG wedges 51*, 56* & 60*
Maxfli Noodle ball.

I played the Strata Tour professional ball for a few years and it was OK. Great around the greens but average off the driver.
I'm playing the Noodle ball for the first time this year and it seems OK for a cheap ball. Good distance off the tee and OK around the greens. (Hard to put a lot of spin on these balls) I'm a ~14 handicap, so I'm not going to pay +$2.5 a ball.

Will probably get the HiBore driver next year. Hit it at a golf show last month and it felt very solid.

Re: Whats your setup?

Cleveland launcher comp driver 9.5 deg, graffalloy blue shaft stiff
Trimetal plus 5 wood, 18 deg loft, EI70 shaft stiff

KZG foraged blades, 2-pw, rifle stepless shafts 6.0 flex
Feel golf wedges, 52 deg and 60 deg
Nickent pipe putter.

For balls I'll play anything my first few rounds but as the year goes on I'll play mostly pro V1, anything HX, anything hogan.

I'm satisfied with what I have, especially my putter and 5 wood, although the wedges are pretty new so I'm not really used to them.

Re: Whats your setup?

Cleveland TA7 Irons
Titleist 905R Driver, Aldila NV-XS Shaft
Titleist 904F 3 Wood, Steel
Cleveland RTG Sand Wedge (56)
Cleveland Black Pearl Gap Wedge (52)
Odyssey White Steel 2 Ball Putter
Titlest NXT Tour (usually)

I'm also about a 14. Usually closer to 12 by the end of the summer. There's nothing I would really change about my clubs. The irons are getting a little bit dated but I love them so I don't see a switch in the near future. Driver, 3 wood, putter, and gap wedge were all new last year.

Also, you play too many clubs unless you take out some irons in favor of your woods. I count 16 clubs if you play 3-P.

Re: Whats your setup?

I don't use a 3 & 4 iron, 7 wood instead. Sometimes I place the 3 iron in my bag to get out from under trees... (I'm not a pro)

I'll probably be around a ~12 too at the end of summer.

Forgot the putter: Odyssey white hot 2 ball blade. (Getting used to this putter, feels pretty good so far)

Re: Whats your setup?

Taylor Made R580 driver, 9 degree, stiff
Taylor Made 14 degree Tour Series hybrid
Ping Eye2 irons, 1-SW
Nike OZ putter

I'll play whatever golf balls I have on hand. When I buy, it's usually Maxfli Revolutions because they're absurdly cheap. Been using some Pinnacle CLRs that I got for the holidays and they have a nice feel. Pro Vs for a treat or when I find 'em in the woods.

I need to tweak my setup this year. I hit the irons very well, but the driver is inconsistent. With my home course being set up longer, I really need to add a 3 or 4 wood and if I could figure out what club to give up I'd like to experiment with a 60 degree wedge.

Re: Whats your setup?

Irons:
Ping i5's, 4-LW

Driver: Titleist 975J.

Putter: Scotty Cameron mallet.

Other: Ping G5 19 degree hybrid.

New irons this season. I'm liking them so far, and over three rounds I can honestly say "mis-hits," as opposed to fundamental errors in swing, have for the most part been eliminated.

My driver is "new" to me, but a few years old. I just hit this really well, and while I know the technology is advanced, I figure, if it ain't broke don't fix it. I've never been a long hitter, and maybe something new would change that, but I'm happy with my driver, and don't feel the need to spend a few hundred on a new one.

While I'm using the Scotty Cameron, I just ordered a belly putter. I have the yips, it blows, and I need to try something new. Specifically, I just can't get a solid, consistent stroke, as simple as it should be.

Good lord. Those are some steep woods. I hit a 983 10.5, stiff shaft pretty damn well, and can't hit an 8 degree worth a damn. Is it swing speed?
