how many BIG BLIND BETS to sit at a table?? Like 30x 40x??
 

I was just wondering how many BB's to sit at a NL holdem table..I was thinking around 40-50 but what is normal or average?

Short stack: 20-40
deep stack: max allowed, usually 100bb

Apparently on Absolute one can buy in for 200bb though. I don't know this for fact though since I don't really play there. Just thought I would toss it out there.

I play there daily...Yes you can...at micro limits anyways 200bb is sweet, but most people buy in for like 40 so its frustrating

depends on what/how you want to play and everybody else's stack size. There has been lots of discussion about deep vs short play. Search around here...

I recommend w/e the max is, 100bbs is usually perfect but more if you are allowed

I buy in short stacked and cash out when I've doubled up. keep skimming the cream, helps with variance, personally.

I always buy in with the maximum amount, you can only win as much as you have on the table. So if you have more money on the table, you will win more. [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]
