Noob to stock trading and taxes question

This past year the goverment saw me making zero dollars in income and pratically zero dollars were spent on paper so I wasnt going to file this year but then I remember I cashed out 100 shares of disney, the first real trade iv made my entire life.
Should I still file?
Do I have to file if I basiclly look like a dependant to the IRS?
Has the stock already been taxed or do I still have to pay?

Thanks for helping out a rookie.

YES! what did you buy disney at and what did you sell it at? if you dont file the IRS will tax you on the amount you sold and not include the cost basis.

Go to a local tax prep and give them the date you bought the stock with cost basis and the date you sold it at. If you dont you will get a letter from the IRS telling you how much you owe them...

Do I have to use a tax prep or can I just file it online?
If so what site is the easiest?

I bought pixar stock before they first came out like 20 years ago I cant even remember what I paid for the shares they were worth nothing back then when disney bought them I sold them awhile after I think I sold 100 shares for alittle over 2000 so it was like 100% profit any way, the difference is so close to the actual it might not be worth it??
