Whats walking distance from IP?

Hello, I will be staying at the IP next month. First trip to Vegas in 10 years. Mapquest.com said Bellagio was withen walking distance, but I couldnt find if there was an In & Out burger or a Fat Burger close by. Also, is Wynn withen walken distance? Thanks

IP is at a spot on the strip that's a pretty easy walk to most of the properties at the north end of the strip, including the Wynn (as long as it's not NBA All Star weekend). In&Out is a hike from there and is not walkable. Don't know about Fat Burger, except that it pales in comparison. Never stayed at IP but I like their sportsbook.

Re: Whats walking distance from IP?

IP is a short walk from:

Harrahs
Caesars Palace
Mirage
TI
Venetian
Osheas
Flamingo

Longer (but not bad) walk to

Wynn
Frontier
Ballys
Bellagio
Paris

Fairly long walk to:

Planet Hollywood

LONG walk to:

Monte Carlo
Excalibur
MGM Grand
Tropicana
Circus Circus
Riviera
Stratosphere
Sahara

In & Out is accross the freeway by Tropicana. Pretty long walk. Not sure about Fatburger.

I walked from Wynn to IP (actually all the way to Caesar's) last time I was in Vegas. Probably a little under a mile, not bad if the weather is cool. I wouldn't want to walk it during the day in the summer.

In and Out is basically unwalkable. Fatburger is closer to MGM...in or near that Hawaiian center. Its a pretty far walk...past Planet Hollywood. If you are already there or at MC or MGM, its close. Unless it closed. I've never been there. In N Out > Fatburger.

FWIW, the best/cheapest food near to IP is easily the Chipotle in between Harrahs and Casino Royale.

Re: Whats walking distance from IP?

Thanks guys for all the help here. I guess I will take a cab to In & Out burger. Dumb question, would I just have the cabby go thru the drive thru or would I just have him drop me off, eat there, and get a new cab for a ride back to IP. Whats my best bet here guys? Sorry for the lame questions lol.

Have him drop you off. A cabbie running the meter while in the drive thru line is way too expensive. Cabs in Vegas are a scam.

Re: Whats walking distance from IP?

In N Out is not like McDonald's. The drive thru can often take 20-30 min as everything is to order.

Don't forget animal style!

BTW: Fatburger is extremely overrated and overpriced. In-N-Out is vastly superior and a much better value.

Re: Whats walking distance from IP?

If you are going to the expense of getting a cab in order to buy a burger, you may want to consider going to the Burger Bar at Mandalay (actually in the corridor connecting Mandalay and the Luxor). You can get In-N-Out at a lot of places, but the Burger Bar is unique to Las Vegas and worth trying (many very tasy and unique burgers).

The mono-rail that runs behind Flamingo, mgm..etc..is your friend as well. For years I figured cabs were probably too expensive in vegas but after finally trying them out, they aren't really a bad deal. Also, if you're flying in, the shuttle buses that run from the airport to the strip are a great deal. Not sure if IP is one of the stops, but they will get you close for only 4-5 bucks i think.
