You start the tournament with 30 BB? Push-fest?

Kill Phil is a good recommendation.

Also read some of the stuff in the 1-table tournaments forum where strategy on such tournaments is discussed in great detail.

If you have some comfortability in SNG's then you shouldn't have much problem in such an event.
Sit back if you don't have much and let the other idiots knock each other out and even that kind of a basic strategy will give you a chance.

Sats like these usually play mostly like a turbo SNG on Stars.
Yeah, the Stars turbo's have 5-minute levels. But the hands go faster so this works out to roughly 15 minutes in a live-event kinda/sorta.

If you want to practice, play a $3 turbo-SNG on Stars.
I've played fastish-structure single-table sateliites before and the quality of play is usually bad enough to be considered roughly equal to a low buyin online SNG.

thanks for the advice bob.i was thinking pretty much raise or fold in EP, maybe limp some IN LP.try and pick up pots without a confrontation if i can.

Probably want to punish limpers if you have a hand in the blinds. Small pairs and suited connectors aren't getting the implied odds they need with such small stacks. If you limp in LP, you have to be aware of that play.

there's nothing particularly special about your strategy.
This sounds close-ish to default strategy for almost every SNG player on the planet.
