Level 5 could be level 7 here, depending on your perspective

this is referenced by mafiascum.net in the "Wine in front of me" argument

they say it's a BS tactic that villagers shouldn't use and that mafia use to confuse the town

meh, I just see it as different games. one is pretty LAG, one is fairly weak tight. you can't use the same tactics in both games. I don't think anyone knows enough about WW to say that the overall "EV" of one style would be higher objectively though - it's all about what people will/won't lynch you for, etc IMO.

Wolves have to level. Wolves absolutely need to level. Most wolves on here clear villagers way too quickly, that's why you need to level.

On top of that, villagers should be leveling, but using the big threat they have (the seer).

Those are the big things where you have to metagame. Other than that, I don't think it's necessary, but it really isn't harmful.

No, it's pretty easy to demonstrate that one is better than the other. Just a player willing to bluff becomes a much stronger poker opponent than one who never bluffs, a werewolf player who will play on multiple levels is a much more difficult opponent to defeat than a straghtforward player.

Yeah, but the thing is, there's no value-bet in werewolf (other than, of course, using the seer).
