Live 2/5 NL, turn trips, what are your thoughts?

2/5 NL, game is out of control due to some wacky super aggro fish from california. Villain has played OK, semi-loose, far from great however. I already analyzed the hand I just want to read others opinions. Just to give you an idea of vilalins range pf I would say 88+,AJ+,KQ pretty reasonable for him in EP.

Effective Stacks $450
Villain UTG+1 raises $50, Wild Dude calls in LP, I call BB with AcTc.

Pot ~$150
Flop Ad Kh 8s
I check, Villain checks, fish thinks and checks.

Turn Ah.

I fire $150, Villain calls, fish folds.

Pot ~$450
River 4c

I check, Villain pushes for $250, I call.

What range do you put Villain on after flop check? After turn card is Ace?
How do you rate my turn bet?
How about the river check-call?

You can comment on preflop, but that's not what I'm really interested in.

great analysis--even a simple hand like this one you fumble around and make uneducated comments.

pf is a definate fold, now that you got yourself in this situation you gave him the option to check behind on the river. i pretty much agree with praetor here.

Not saying I disagree or do not disagree with you, but what are your reasons? Also, care to answer some of my initial questions in the post, I would appreciate that.

calling 10 bb oop with AT is just bad in my opinion despite the game being out of whack with pf betting live. After he calls the turn it seems to me that he has a weak Ax, AK exactly, or some sort of broadway combo draw. I think if he has a set he has to bet the flop since its easy to stack a big ace here with 8s or kk. As for the river, Id rather you put a stack in since Ax will check behind most of the time since the 8 kicker plays. Checking might induce a bluff but after you pot the turn i doubt you'll ever check fold the river to a blank.

I would call this hand PF if you had position on the fish and he was in the hand. Definitely fold from the BB. AT plays terribly out of position against an EP raiser.

As played I would lead the flop and find out if the raiser has an ace. You have no idea where you are in the hand after you check the flop.

I am sure that you are beat when he pushes the river. If he is a halfway decent player and doesn't have an Ace then he'll check behind and hope his PP is good.

Re: Live 2/5 NL, turn trips, what are your thoughts?

I don't mean to shoot down your advice but leading the flop I think is a terrible idea given his range. Also, I'm not really calling AcTc OOP to start value/info betting toppair on this type of board into these type of opponents.
I think if I check I can make some conclusions about his range based on his actions. If he checks, to me that implies he has either a PP QQ or under or a monster. It makes perfect sense for him to check AK/KKK/AAA/888 because fish has been betting/calling everything, and if he has QQ-99 a check makes sense because he is almost always going to get called. Also, on this board no one is going to slow play an AQ or AJ, so I basically ruled out those hands.

When he checks behind, he either has QQ-99, AAA,KKK,888, or AK.

Now the turn comes an Ace, can I profitably bet here?

Calling with Ax is just out of the question. He is flatcalling so fish can overcall, obviously. Anyways, Ax is not in his opening range.
