Does anybody know whether or not this bonus can be cleared in the Instant or Download Casino rather than the Live Play Casino?

according to CBP, no.

I don't think you even get the bonus if you don't play the live play casino. I cleared this last weekend and it was obviously very slow. I wouldn't recommend playing it.

I confirmed with support that is indeed a live play bonus. Note that their previous bonus with 60xB wagering included download games.
