Turning Stone Question - Highest NL Game?

Hey guys - I did a search first, but my question wasn't really answered there. I might get to head to Turning Stone this weekend but I want to know a little more about the NL action. The only thing I know is that they have some weird structure low limit NL games that have less than 100bb buyins. Not interested in those though.

My buddy said he thought the 5-5nl game runs on weekends. Does this play like the old 5-5nl at Foxwoods extremely deep or smaller? Any comments from people who have been there recently, or have a good idea are appreciated. Thanks.

Turning Stone is probably not worth the trip if it's not a tourney week there. Sometimes 2/5 or 5/5 is the highest game and there might be 1 table running. Sometimes 5/10/20nl, but rare from my experience(usually Fridays if they can get it going) Plenty of 1/2 games if you like that. $100, $200 and $300 max buy ins.

Thanks for the response. What is the 2/5 buy-in? Any word on the 5/5 from someone that has been there recently?

Barf - is this the largest regularly running game I could expect this Saturday?

potentially. you never know.

just don't trust what the poker room people tell you over the phone. They pretty much guarenteed there would be the 5/10/20nl game running, as well as a handful of 2/5 and 5/5 games there on a Friday. I drove all the way there, and the 5/10/20nl game never ran after we waited for 2 hours waiting for another 1-2 players since the regulars wouldn't play shorthanded, and there was 1 5/5 game going.

There is a 5/10 300min game with no cap that gets started on fridays. Generally people buyin for 2k or so. Lots of money in the game and very soft.
