sucks, check/call check means he has a pair 90% of the time and won't fold. Read your own description.

At $5NL on a paired flop with no OESD or flush draws most villains won't call the flop without a jack, a seven, a pocket pair, or on occasion an ace, all of which beat you. You made your c-bet and got called, just shut down and get to the next hand.

a couple of general thoughts.

this player sounds like a good target for a double barrel as he is relatively likely to be calling you light, but you suggest he can fold.

however, you should be less inclined to double barrel when the flop is dry, because there is more chance he is slowplaying.

and you should really be disinclined to double barrel at all at 5NL unless the circumstances are very favourable.

Is this 5k NL or 5NL? fold preflop, fold flop, fold turn.
