On the flop, what kind of flops were you looking for? In a sense, you're looking for a board to wrap around, this board isn't the best. By calling the flop, what card do you need to see on the turn for you to continue? What if the turn had come A,K,Q,J,5,4,3,2. Do you call a pot size bet again? Admittedly T,9,6 improves your hand (whilst 8,7 significantly improves your hand), but this means nearly 2/3 of the time you have to give this up on the turn, whilst the other third you may already be drawing dead. If I had no reads on my opponent, I would probably give this up on the flop but would definitely follow your line if his c-bet and pfr %'s seemed out of line.
