Any current Wendover Info?

Ya, I know. Wendover! Garden spot of Nevada. But I have a conference in SLC next week and will arrive early just so I can have the joy of cramming on a rickety charter bus filled with SR. Citizens and me all just wanting to get to a real casino for a little while.

Anyway, I have played there before but it has been a year. I usually play at the Rainbow and last I remember they had 2-5 spread with a kill to 5-10, 10-20, NL and occasionally an Omaha game going. Anything different now or just the same? Will be there Saturday and Sunday nights.

The only other room I ever played in over there was the Nugget. It was several years ago and I remember it was OK but preferred the Rainbow.

I haven't been for 4-5 months, but that is pretty much what they usually have. Occasionally there will be a 5/10 limit game with a kill, and the 10/20 usually either has a half kill or changes to 15/30 outright. The O8 game is 4/8 (I believe with a half kill). When the 1/5 gets killed it goes to 5/10 structured. They ocassionally run a 5/10 structured game. They used to run a 1-5 spread limit stud game with no antes, but that rarely goes anymore. There is a seperate bad beat jackpot for HE, O8, and stud. I believe there is a NLHE tourney on Sunday afternoon.

Montego Bay has a small room with 1-5 spread limit with a single blind (which can be $1-$5 at each players option) and small NL. They usually run a small tourney on weekend nights. I haven't played at the Nugget in a very long time, so can't comment on it.

If you are looking for limit they have 2-5 spread at Montego and Rainbow. The rainbow is preferable because of the kill. the fish think it's 2-5 but 50% of the hands activate the kill making it a 5-10 game. The kill is in effect on any hand following a pot >50 dollars. If you want no limit I like Montego because there are less people who know what they are doing, makes for very fishy games. GL, maybe I'll see you there.

Thanks for the info.
Barring some crazy emergency between now and then I will be out there Saturday and Sunday nights. I'll probably go to the Rainbow Saturday and maybe Sunday I'll try Montego Bay. I seem to remember a crappy tournament at the Rainbow pretty much killing the 2-5 game on Sunday when everyone left to play in that thing. I thought about messing around with the Sunday tourney but on their website it looks like it is a whopping total of $200 in Chips to start which just sounds like a good way to give away an entry fee.

I'll be the big guy with a beard from Montana drinking Miller Light and constantly folding hand after hand of crappy cards but still some how having fun.
