15.4\" laptops with 1600x1200 res
 

Does anyone make these anymore? I keep seeing laptops with 1900x1200 res, but none with the (used to be more standard) 1600x1200.

Also what happens if you try to run a monitor with 1600x1200 res on off a laptop with 1900x1200 res?

LCDs don't look too good when they are running at anything but their standard resolution, or like, half of it. You can see for yourself if you have one. If I remember right I think the resolution you are look for is UXGA or UXGA+ you might try searching for that and see wwhat comes up.

I keep seeing wide screen UXGA, but not standard UXGA. The wise screen UXGAs only have 1050 vertical pixels.

The loss of the 1600x1200 standard really sucks. The monitors capable of 1900x1200 (or 1920x1200) are super expense (like $1,500).
