Recent Bannings in Politics Forums since the regime change

So far I have:

valenzeula
pvn
Borodog

Any other bannings, or we just sticking to the ACists?

It would be nice if we were notified on who was banned. Put it in the sticky.

Boro got banned? I thought I just saw a flurry of posts from him in the "Hi" thread.

That was before the regime change. I would add myself as well if I was counting then.

The only one I know of for sure was valenzuela, and that was not really a ban, that was a six hour suspension, and that was for a blatant misuse of the "notify moderator" button. You will also note that I issued a stern warning to the poster who made the blanket insulting comment to AC'ists.

I don't think it is necessary to comment on who has been banned/suspended. If one is able to act like and adult they will be welcome, if they need to be put in time out they will be in time out. We are not targeting people based on their beliefs, only on their actions.

It appears criticizing the moderation is a ban-worthy offense, even if done in a constructive manner. Just a fair warning to all posters!

Err, give an example.

See, this is why i hated politics and stopped reading it - just cos a few morons who happen to be ACists get a warning/banning then its instantly considered a sweeping hate crime against ACists.

Replace ACists with Republicans, Libertarians, Communists etc etc.

If they were banned, im sure it was for doing stupid [censored]. Grow up.

I hope that you and anyone else that quit reading politics would return.

Re: Recent Bannings in Politics Forums since the regime change

I might lurk now and again, but frankly from the little ive just seen it seems business as usual and doesnt meet my Political posting needs (lol).

What always annoyed me was you have a group of people with one view (usually based in idiology) and another group with an apposing view. Then they debate, by which i mean repeatedly state their case, and then nothing particularly happens.

Last major straw was when i asked about the minimum wage, which again is about to rise in the UK. They question was simple - all evidence appears to support the view that a min wage wouldnt create unemployment. I came up with a theoretical model as to why this is likely so, in line with what evidence i could find of job trends. I was met by the evidence that in theory it leads to unemployment so the reality is fake in the overwhelming evidence of economic theory - so whilst unemployment may have dropped in the time of the min wage introduction, it would have dropped more if it wasnt there! Thus nothing is resolved and i kinda wished id just not bothered trying to get my head around it.
