This is coming in a trip report in a couple days but the long story is

4/8 limit at the MGM. Great table. Couple locals (nice guys) and the rest tourists. And my fave, one guy in the WSP satin jacket with his poker stars hat.

Hero in cutoff with A3h - calls with 5 limpers the two blinds call.

Flop JhJs9h

4 checkers, the rock bets, I raise in position two blinds fold, 2 callers and the rock calls.

Turn: Th

Checks to hero, bets, 2 callers. The rock check raises, I call (boat fear) and the two limpers call.

River Qh

1 callers bets, 2 caller raises, the rock mucks (shows his JT) I *stupid stupid stupid, I'm better than this* call, the orig raiser raises, third guy calls and I call. Orig raiser has Kh for the big end, 2 guy has 8h for the little end.

Yes, I could have avoided this pain. I could have. And yes, its a stupid beat for that reason. But my God this isn't probable.

its limit and as we all know playing limit can be considered a bad beat in itself.
