Youteller Is NOT Neteller

There had been rumors flying around that Neteller executives were abandoning ship for Youteller, scheduled for a limited, invite-only launch in March for a lucky 1,000.

Turns out that this can't be the case, as Neteller's legal team issued the following infringement warning: http://www.youteller.com/bin/NETellers_Priority_Number_One.pdf

Re: Youteller Is NOT Neteller

I don't know why any company would want any association with Neteller at this point considering their negative public perception currently.

I think GayDough.com is better than Youteller at this point.

If I owned Youteller, I would give the "middle finger salute" to that letter just as Neteller has done to U.S. customers.

I am almost tempted to contact Neteller's lawyers at:

(403) 232-8300 or (403) 232-8408 to ask where the F#@$ my money is or at least e-mail nkathol@brownleelaw.com

Maybe misdirected, but 100 e-mails/phone calls would not make up for the crap that Neteller is pulling

Very unprofessional of Youteller to put this on their site using "Netellers priority number one" as the name of the document.

Also, does Neteller have a case here? I don't see Microsoft suing Micro Machines (do they still make those things?).

Any second of Neteller's time and resources not spent getting back their customers money is unprofessional.

I laughed at the URL. Not convinced Youteller is the solution to replace Neteller, but my anger at Neteller runs very deep.

Correct, and United Airlines doesn't sue United Van Lines because they're in different industries. Confusion in the eyes of the customer is a key litmus test in trademark law, and nobody would mistake those companies for one another.

Neteller versus Youteller is a different story. Neteller has every right to defend their trademark; in fact, they probably have duty to protect their trademark. I'm not a lawyer and don't know how the case will turn out but it seems close enough to deserve a day in court.
