Dealer pushes pot to me (the loser)

Playing live 2/4 LHE the other day I was dealt KQo, long story short, the guy on my right ended up winning the pot with a his A2o by pairing his Ace on the river. I had only a pair of Q's. Showdown we both turn over our cards, dealer looks at both of them sees both hands clearly(so I thought)and pushes the smallish size pot to me. I looked at the dealer and the guy who won the pot and waited for one of them to say something. The dealer said nothing so I knew he had just erred but the guy next to me who was very cool kind of paused, so I pushed the chips to him and said nice hand. He said, "I thought that I had won but I wasn't sure, but I thank you very much for being so honest". He then proceeded to put out my next blind for me. I could have just kept the chips but that wouldn't have been very cool at all. Agree?

Agree. And if you see the dealer push a pot to the wrong player, even if it's a hand that you aren't involved in, you should always speak up. We all have a responsibility to look out for the best interests of the game. A fish who gets stolen from may never come back. A shark doesn't need to steal.

Agreed. Definitely give winner the pot. Bad karma is a bitch at the poker table. If you don't, you become the A-hole that is now the target of the guy you stole from and everyone else at the table. Plus it's just plain stealing. Give sideways look to dealer to let him know he's an idiot.

I saw an old lady that had fallen down in the subway station today. I looked around and didn't see anybody. I walked over and helped her up and asked if she was ok. I could totally have kicked her repeatedly though and stolen her purse without anyone noticing, but that wouldn't be very cool. Agree?

Funny that nobody said anything except me at the table.

PS. orensi-making $ at 2/4: At first I thought that I could. But after playing a lot of it and repeatedly having people on the forums here to move up to at least 4/8, I am going to move up. Seems when I feel I play good at 2/4, I look down and I don't have that many chips in my stack that I thought I won after the rake etc. (for another thread I guess)

This is standard for me. If someguy misreads his hand and doesn't table it though, I don't give him the pot...
