If you could go back in time to a time in your own life?
 

The other back in time got me to thinking about this subject.

You would know everything you know today and make different decisions as you see fit.

Myself I would go back to the exact moment in September of 1974 where I met my wife. I was in the Ft. Gordon rec center about to walk upstairs to the poolroom. I turned around and saw the most beautiful WAC I had ever seen. Two months later we were married and my ETS was 25 days later.

I would have kept on walking and continued to bang another WAC named Dalene. She was probably only a six but her Dad was wealthy as [censored] and she was willing to by me a 1967 Sunbeam Tiger sports car. I should have accepted the gift and ignored Linda.

I then had plans to take a job at Ft. Gordon as a GS12, could have retired for good long ago.

would go back to when I was 16. I made bad mistakes with drugs that I regret.

i think i would SVG back to NLM. it's tough to get by with just MTH in an AMG, but making do made me a better STR. my life hasn't been as TRS or SMC since.

most people haven't served in the military, jimbo. haven't noticed yet?

a number of times come to mind.

freshman year of college. I'd not become a complete social-phobe, and spend my time on more than just school. right now, that's kinda switched.

I'd go back to the age of 12 or 13.

-No work
-Virtually no responsibility
-Into girls at this point, but they aren't a pain in the ass
-No one looks down on you for playing kick the can
-Masturbation is new and exciting

i would change a LOT of things. but nothing major really. growing up i, like almost all teenagers, misplayed nearly every social-situation i was ever put in. whether it involved family, friends, girls, adults etc.

examples: not getting into huge fights with my parents over the stupidest [censored].

not flaking out on girls who were definitely interested in me. also not carrying a torch for girls who weren't worth the time.


oh, and i'd never take a job, ever. at least up till this point in my life. in the future maybe. your younger years are the best years of your life, however you get paid so much less when you are younger. easiest decision ever yet one i missed (to my credit i have only worked 6 months in my entire life)

I would go back to when I was a freshman in college and teach myself how to pick up girls I didn't know. It took me two years to figure it out (I went to a medium-sized HS, so everyone knew each other and you usually didn't interact with people who were total strangers). I would also tell myself to stay the hell away from this one girl.

edit: I would also tell myself about about 2+2 and advise myself to become interested in internet poker.

I'd go back to my senior year in high school and give a girl named Kara the respect she deserved. Either that or get up enough guts to ask out a girl named Jenny. Both nag on me to this day.

20s are the best time of your life (if you don't work a typical job). You got the youth and you got the money. The only better thing about being a teenager is that sex is naughty.
