How long for a foreign bank check to clear?
 

Ok, since neteller is out, I have received 2 checks from a bank in Canada through my poker site. The first one was promptly taken, cashed, etc as normal. Today, the teller says since its a foreign check, they'll have to send it somewhere and it may take a few days.

My real question is: is there anywhere I can take such a check and have it cashed immediately? Such as Western Union or something similar...

Mine has been onhold for 3 weeks. I called to complain and they said it is under an extended hold because of the ammount and because of it being out of country bank. GREAT! I was told it first went on a 10 business day, then when it was supposed to clear, they did another extended hold. I was told if it clears, another 5-10 business days. HYACHCHACHA!!!

No, WU is not in the check cashing business.
