Forum Experts Needed
 

So I finally got my forum up and running (much thanks to those who helped me) and I need some feedback if you all wouldn't mind. I know it gets old looking at sites all day but let me know what you think [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]!

it looks like a standard phpbb installation with a different logo...

you should do stuff like put in a sidebar, remove the FAQ and usergroup links, change the page titles to be more search engine friendly, remove session IDs for non logged-in users, mod_rewrite URLs, DEFINITELY put in anti-spam filters and anti-bot signup mods

and robots.txt exclude all the crap that google shouldn't see like search pages, FAQ, member profiles (unless you want them indexed), etc

and the self-spam of moneymaking sites is kinda lame, IMO. I would worry about getting users before you worry about making money off them =)

LOL I did that at the request of a friend... but I kind of agree. I most likely will remove it soon...but it looks very bare with only 2 topics haha! I'll work on the other mods thanks for the advice! [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

Ok I need to change the skin of my site I know... but does anyone have one they would recommend? Thanks for all the help so far guys.

just go on phpbb.com and look the templates till you see something you like.

for a site like your's I would personally do some custom MSPaint graphics
