3--KQs shortstacked All-In vs Raiser?

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t200 (6 handed)

UTG's been playing a little loose and raising a good bit. I was thinking about folding this KQs but because I was shortstacked I pushed.

Hero (t1160)
CO (t1465)
Button (t2360)
SB (t2790)
BB (t2695)
UTG (t4530)

Preflop: Hero is MP with Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].

yes utg calls with a wide range you should fold and try to open push first in.

OK. This hand is not strong enough to push without the first in vig. Would you be folding everything except AKo and TT+ and pushing those?

He has to be raising roughly >30% to be ahead of his range. That combined with the fact that there's still 4 left to act makes this a fold.

I suppose if you had a betting tell on his min-raise (ie only shown down weak hands after min-raising) you'd figure to be ahead of his range, but I'm not sure it's not still a fold with those left to act.

I don't know exactly what range would be a good push, but I'd guess 77+, AJs+

I hate not pushing this bc of a minraise, but he has to be raising a TON here for us to be ahead. No good, fold.

I'd fold here. Basically no fold equity and you only have a marginal hand considering you're going up against a raiser. I'd be pushing A10s+ and 88+. Also depends on the buy in, at lower levels against goofy opponents you could have a bit of FE, but I doubt it.

Re: 3--KQs shortstacked All-In vs Raiser?--Results

Villain had 99 and despite flopping a King and turning another, he flopped a nine also.

In retrospect, I think I made this play because I probably got my 6max limit thinking mixed up with SnG thinking. This would be a standard reraise in 6max limit...but the whole game is not on the line there.
