5/10 NL, my first hand (sat with 1k) in the BB. i have 3 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] in BB 6 handed, 4 limpers

flop 7 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
I lead out pot, 3 callers (200 in pot)
turn 7 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] i check, utg bets half pot, button raises to 400...I ?????

Well let's assume these are all your average 1k players with no huge fish in the group.

What are chances that UTG or button has 85? Not high I say.

What are chances that button just flat called with 77/66/44/76? Not high I say.

What are the chances that UTG just called with 77/66/44? Very possible, but not not extremelly likely.

What are the chances that UTG would have a 7 in his hand or lead another worse hand than yours? Very possible, but not not extremelly likely.


So there is lot's to consider here and obviously without any reads it is very tough to know where we are at. If I had to guess I would say button most likely holds a hand like 78s (but could have boat) and UTG could have anything from an overpair to A7 to a boat.

Since our hand can be killed by so many river cards and there is a decent chance we might not be ahead any more, I would fold. I would also be betting the turn though, since usually 2-pair and sets would be raising that flop.
