golf - skill level was 1400ish. I just did a 9-hole game, finished -6 (this ties my record!!) including a chip-in and an eagle, and how many skill points do I get? just +33.

tennis - skill level 1900 ish. playing both front and back against the two tennis pros sarah and elisa (2000, 1900 -- every game is like this), I shut them out in three games, their scores were 0, 30, 0. how many points? +5.

bowling - 1400ish skill level. bowled a 216 (a really solid game, including a six-pack, only one open frame with a split 8+1), how many points? +8.

admittedly, the golf one seems high in comparison to the other two, but my friend finished -1 starting at skill level 0 gets +255. WTF.

golf - thats fine, -6 is good but not amazing at 1400
tennis - your skill level is really high already you aren't going to get much
bowling - 216 isn't really good

-6 isn't amazing? it's my record and I usually average around -4. [img]/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img]

also, 216 isn't really good? I average like 180-200. 278 is my record and the closest I've come to that is 246. admittedly, my skill level graph is a HUGE roller coaster, I keep on fluctuating between 1200-1400 skill level.

bleh, plateauing sucks -- in poker, in weight lifting, in music, and now in wii sports.

Re: tennis...One tip I've heard is to let the other team serve games 1/3/5 and you'll pick up more points with the extra service breaks. Although as pointed out, your skill increases are gonna stall out at this level anyway.

it's not gonna be linear

u will get many more points if u bowl 200 your first game when you are at 0 than if you are a pro

u will get many more points if u golf -1 if your skill is 0 than if you golf -6 but your skill is a pro

they can't just keep giving you 255 points every time you beat par or you'd be up to 25,500 after 100 good games...

and they can't give you just 5 every time, or it'd take you 200 games to get to pro...

What Nicholasp27 said, if you're high ranked, the game expects you to do very good in order to gain points.
