I need some advise on upgrading vehicle headlights.

Hi

I have a 2004 Escape, with whatever standard headlights came with it.

I really find (and not just with this vehicle) that I would like some better vision at night. I live in an area (northern Alberta) with lots of snow, and lots of big critters - Moose, Bison, Deer, Elk, etc so visibility is really important.

Is an upgrade worth it? And if so, what type/brand of lights would you suggest?

PS. Some of my friends love driving at night, but I must not have good night vision. I can go 85MPH in the day no problem, but going at 60MPH at night feels like I'm going about 200MPH...oh well. On long golf trips to southern BC, I'm the day driver..lol. thx for any replies.

Thx

How about Fog Lights? Might be your best option. Depending on how much you wanna spend. They go from like $200 to $xxx to get installed. I remember having Bosch and they were good.

As for upgrading headlights, I went to AutoZone. They had a few choices....meh.

Buy Sylvania Silverstar replacement bulbs. They shouldn't run you more than $20-$30/pair and will make a noticable difference.

This is probably the best option before you have to screw around with new harnessing and whatnot ($$$).

Please Please don't get those super bright headlights that blind me and make me want to ram you.
